Simulation of heating and cooling loads of the A1 building and the analysis of energy saving measures
Bartoník, Adam ; Kolbábek, Antonín (referee) ; Charvát, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis deals with the heat loss and the heat loads simulation of A1 building in the area of The Faculty of Mechanical Engineering, Brno University of Technology and with the measures of the energy saving. The measures of the thermo-technical charakteristics for the winter and summer operations are provided on the base of the current state simulation. These measures include increasing of thermal resistence (of the building case), the radiation shielding, the sun blinds and the passive cooling by the night ventilation. All the simulation are performed in TRNSYS 16.1 software.

An urban study was already a part of the assignment, into which it was necessary to incorporate design. The basis of the architectural and structural design is simplicity, functionality and practicality. The building is made of brick, consisting of nine blocks arranged into three blocks of flats. The building has three floors, without basement. Thanks to terraced arrangement, large terraces and a covered porch at the rear emerged. Large glass surface on the south side allows a pleasant view over the historical center of Brno. Against overheating there are sun screens on the south facade. There is a total of eleven flats, hairdressing salon and a massage parlor.
